BOARD MINUTES NOVEMBER 16, 2022
Meeting called to order: 11:05 am at Buccilli’s
Attendance: Rhonda Fossitt , Susan Tyer, Rita VanScyoc, Heather Marra, Barb Souder
Approval of Nov 2022 board minutes: Susan made the motion to approve the minutes; Barb seconded it and all approved

Local Grants
Roscommon Food Distribution, Sue Shoemaker, submitted a grant request for $2400. The food trucks are available for Roscommon County residents, the fourth Saturday of the month. The board approved $1200 and will advise Sue that she can reapply for the additional $1200 in May if needed. Susan made the motion to
approve the grant and Rita seconded it.
All board members approved.
Financial Update
None- Ben Elliott not present
Membership
- Rita will host an event to bring in prospective members. Details will follow.
- It was verified that there are 28 active and paid members. This is important to have current for future dues billings.
Auction Discussion and Update
Auction Committee met on December 13.
o Heather will contact MJ’s Eatery for a bid
o Rita will contact Premos BBQ for a bid
o Rhonda Fossitt will contact Randy’s Family Restaurant for a bid
o Menu is sock hop type food – burgers, hot dogs with variation
suggested by caterer
o Food needed for 200 to 250 people
- Ticket price - $50 in advance and $60 at door
- Save the Date postcards to go out to possible attendees
- Venue has been reserved, Four Seasons Event Barn, April 29 for $2650.
- Future Auction Committee Meetings need to be scheduled
- Rita will contact Becky’s Best Sewing Machine for possible warehouse space to collect auction items.
- DJ will be Party Pam
- Grand Prize- Heather has suggestion which include Victrola , Grease DVD, Smart TV (Walmart) , men’s leather jacket, women’s jacket, Blue Ray/DVD Player

Nominations Opened up for President-Elect
Rita has decided to step down from President-Elect due to other commitments. Discussion took place by board members discussing possible candidates.
