Tuesday 4/26 -1:00 - Wine bottle wrapping and wine pull setups with Cole @ Morning Glory. Contact me if you want to help.
 
Wednesday 4/27 -10:00 AM - Moving Items to site - big enclosed vehicles appreciated - Contact Cole if you can help. Should Take Appx 2 1/2 Hours.
 
After that Wed 4/27 - Fri 4/29 we will be setting up the venue, please keep an eye on your e-mails for times to help, if you would like to pitch in an extra hand.
 
All Rotarians are asked to be onsite on the day of the event (April 30th) by 2:30. Doors open at 4:00.

Club Correspondence & News:
Received a letter a from the Children’s’ Bereavement Network, we have sponsored them in the past and they are no longer going to operate Live Laugh Love and operate Camp Good Grief. If there are students available to go to this camp we will discuss if we receive a request for a grant.
 
Update from Board Meeting:
Jim made a motion, Scott seconded and all approved in favor to have Rita be the new Membership Chair. Susan also invited Rita to be on the board starting next month and through next year. A motion was made by Anita to approve Rita for the board, Rhonda Fossitt Seconded and all approved.
 
We granted $1,000 to Collins Backpack Program, $100 to Mid Michigan Honor Flight, and $1,000 to Friends of Trestle Park.
 
We granted $500 to the Ukraine.
 
June 1, 2022 Houghton Lake Seniors Awards Night at 6:00 P.M. .  $250.00 Miss Houghton Lake Spirit Award.  Cole, Rhonda and Ben will possibly present the award.
 
We granted $375 for the Life Leadership Conference for 1 more student to attend.
 
Rhonda shared that Interact has a Fun Run on the 21st of May.
 
Updates:
 
Scott – Golf Outing
Jim made a recommendation to the scholarship fund and the Board did not want to earmark the money until we know how much we are going to receive from the Golf Outing. Our intention is to put some in scholarship.
Scott said we are waiting for the Auction to be concluded and then we will hit a little bit harder. This next week will have the golf leagues starting and Scott will attend these meetings and hand out flyers. Scott said the bottom portion of the flyer is the most important for team sign ups. Scott said if anyone wants to help to with the outing to contact him.
 
Rhonda said anyone who puts money into the rotary foundation and those funds go directly to the disaster response fund which the Ukraine can apply for 50K in funding for the refuge funding and for any other clubs around the world that are taking in refuges can apply for 25k funding. The board decided today to give $500 to the relief fund but as individuals we can still contribute. All contributions must be submitted by April 30th.

Susan said we can sell Tickets. Diane is going to print auction
 
Diane – Safety Day at Collins
They ordered the helmets last week 180 and they have 3 volunteers. Jim is donating two bikes. The helmets are at Collins now.
 
Cole & Committee – Auction
Cole commented that the club is incredible, and the response is awesome. A week before drop-dead date we had $26k procured, and we added $14k with a total of $40k procured and $36k in items to be auctioned. The item list will be on the website, you can direct people to look there at the items we will have. Right now we have 231 tickets sold at the auction. Send people to the Chamber to get tickets and Cole said you can also send people to Camping World to get tickets. Cole said to have the tickets sold by next Wednesday. Cole needs at least the name so he can print the badges. Bob said the tickets for the big Golf Package will be in tomorrow. Thursday is basket making day with Rita 11am at morning glory, Thursday night we will be tagging. Next Tuesday afternoon 26th, we need help wrapping bottles of wine, at 1pm at morning glory. The 27th Wednesday at 10am, we need to move everything from the staging area and take it out to the auctions site (at least 2 hours). Thursday get the tables set up. Saturday April 30th at 2:30pm for the Auction.  
 
As the table closes and we pull the bid sheets, if my bid number is 222 and 224, we pull them in order so when the next table closes they. Anita said if you can when a table closes go help with this.
 
 
Happy Cash: Anita said all her daughter in law wanted for her birthday was good news and Anita’s son announced his retirement from the police department.
 
Rhonda’s daughter is graduating and she is very proud of her.
 
Anita’s nephew ran the Boston Marathon and finished really strong.
 
Gary’s middle daughter got her Masters from North Western.
 
Rhonda said that Riley wanted Rhonda to donate a pint of blood and Rhonda donated blood.
 
Diane Is the speaker at Roscommon Rotary tomorrow.
 
50/50
Winner 18, Rhonda won and donated it back to the Auction.
